Dr. J.E.T. BABATOLA PhD holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree in History (1990), a Master of Science degree in Political Science (Public Administration) 1997 and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in History and International Studies (Political History and Conflict) 2019. He is a Fellow, Chartered Institute of Administration; Institute of Management Consultants; Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria; and Association of Nigeria University Professional Administrators. He is also a Professional Manager & Full Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered); Member (International), Association of University Administrators (United Kingdom); Associate, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (Nigeria); Human Resources Practitioners Licensee and Certified Management Consultant. He lectured in part time programmes of tertiary institutions from 1995 to 2007. His antecedents in higher education administration started at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti as Administrative Officer in 2001 and he became a Deputy Registrar in 2015. He served in over 140 Panels, Committees, Taskforce and assignments over a period of 20 years. He was a university orator, master of ceremonies, Congregation representative on University Security Committee and facilitator of University monthly briefing for 7 years. He became Registrar, National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, Ondo (NIEPA) in 2017 and was appointed the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Federal Polytechnic, Ekowe, Bayelsa State in 2018. His community service and contributions to public service led to serving at various times as a Commissioner in Ekiti State (2007), Member of Government Visitation Panel and Governing Council of University of Ado-Ekiti (2007-2010); Secretary, Nigerian Publishers’ Association UBE Study Project; Branch and Zonal Secretary (Western Nigeria) – Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities; Branch Secretary and Branch Chairman – Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA); Alumni Representative on University Staff School Board of Governors; National Secretary, National President and Registered Trustee – Ekiti State University Alumni Association; State Secretary and Vice Chairman, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (Ekiti State), National Public Relations Officer and National Treasurer – Christ’s School Alumni Association Worldwide, Director (Vocational Services) – Rotary Club of Ado-Ekiti, National Public Relations Officer, Ado-Ekiti Progressive Union and Pioneer Secretary, University Staff Club among others. He is a Patron to youth and student bodies and church society. He chaired Board of Christus Scholarship Foundation (CSAAWW) and served on 80th Anniversary Celebration Committee of Christ’s School, Ado-Ekiti. He chaired Convention Committee of EKSU Alumni Association for 7 years and the Curriculum Review Committee & Chartered Institute Development Committee of ANUPA National Council and served as a Member, College of Fellows, Chartered Institute of Administration (Nigeria). He has published books, monographs and articles in learned journals and online publications and his hobbies are reading, writing, photography, travels and community service with focus on alumni relations and networking. He has also attended over 55 local and overseas conferences in Nigeria, United Kingdom, France, Israel, Palestine Territories, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Qatar, Benin Republic, Libya, Ethiopia and USA and conferred the status of Tourism Goodwill Ambassador to the State of Israel in 2007 at Jerusalem. He is happily married to an educator cum school administrator and law graduate – Mrs. M.J. Babatola with children who are graduates in respective fields.
