Description: Ctenopoma nebulosum, known as the spotted climbing perch, is a medium-sized fish with a laterally compressed body and a distinctive pattern of dark spots scattered across a lighter background. It can grow up to 20 cm in length and is found in the slow-moving rivers, streams, and lakes of West and Central Africa. This species prefers habitats with dense aquatic vegetation, which provides both shelter and food. C. nebulosum is semi-aggressive and is capable of climbing out of the water, using its pectoral fins to traverse short distances across land in search of new environments.
